ObituaryApr 5, 2011  OBITUARY: James A. McHale, 69, of Palatka, died Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Putnam Community Medical Center.

He was a native of Brunswick, Maine, and had lived in Palatka for the past 40 years, coming from Maine.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and had retired after 28 years as a lab technician with Georgia-Pacific. He was a member of VFW Post 3349 and Moose Lodge 184 in Palatka. He also was active at the Palatka golf course.

He is survived by his son, James Michael McHale and wife, Lori of McHenry, Ill; brother, John McHale of Steamboat Springs, Colo; two grandchildren, Andrew McHale and Kayla McHale; his companion of 26 years, Joyce Halle of Palatka and her two children, Carl Halle and Devon Halle; and two nephews, Jay McHale and Jack McHale.

Memorial services will at be 3 p.m., Friday April 8, at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Pastor Jim Obrecht officiating. The U.S. Army will conduct military honors.
