ObituaryJan 6, 1955  OBITUARY: The funeral of Homer G. Andrews was held Wednesday afternoon, January 5, 1955, at the Randolph funeral home. Mr. Andrews died New Year’s day of a heart attack while driving his car between Roxbury and East Granville.

Mrs. Andrews was with him at the time of his death, but escaped serious injury as the car ran off the road.

Mr. Andrews was born in Braintree July 4, 1883, the son of George and Julia (Maynard) Andrews.

In 1948 he retired as conductor on the Central Vermont Railway. He belonged to the Masonic fraternity, the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen and the Central Vermont Railway veterans; association.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Bell Andrews, and three sons, George N. Andrews of San Diego, Calif., Terrance W. Andrews of Pensacola, Fla., and Victor of the United States Receiving Station, Washington, D.C. Another son, Brainerd, was killed at Pearl Harbor. A sister, Mrs. Nellie Spaulding of Montpelier, survives.

Rev. Otis Heath of Bethany church, Randolph, officiated at yesterday’s ceremonies with Harry Hewitt of Northfield being in charge of the Masonic services conducted by members of the Northfield lodge. Burial followed in the Roxbury cemetery.

Bearers were George DeGeorge of Northfield, Fred Tilden and Forrest Manning of Roxbury Dudley Spaulding of Montpelier, and the sons Victor and Terrance.
