| Obituary | Jun 20, 2006 | OBITUARY: Suzanne H. Lahue, 59, of South Hero died Monday afternoon, June 19, 2006, in Fletcher Allen Health Care following a short illness. Suzanne was born June 15, 1947, in St. Albans, the son of Robert and Edna Lane Lahue. She graduated from the Fanny Allen School of Nursing and was employed in the maternity department at Fletcher Allen for several years. An active member of the South Hero Congregational Church, she also enjoyed singing as a member of the church choir. She was a member of the USS Ringgold Association on behalf of her parents. Suzanne loved her Ragdoll breed of cats, as well as keeping up with a variety of wild backyard birds that she loved to watch. She is survived by her mother, Edna L. Lahue of Grand Isle; and her two sisters, Deborah Melton and Diane Lahue, and her nephew, Scott Melton, all of Charlottesville, Va; as well as a wide circle of friends and coworkers She was predeceased by her father, Robert. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 24, at 1 p.m. in the South Hero Congregational Church on South Street in South Hero. Burial will be at a later date in the family lot in the Grand Isle Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Chittenden County, 142 Kindness Court, South Burlington, Vt. 05403.
