Davis of Barnet in Caledonia County and State of Vermont for the consideration of four hundred and fifty dollars paid to my full satisfaction by Henry McKown of Barnet in Caledonia County and State of Vermont have given, granted, bargained and sold and hereby do freely give granted, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Henry McKown his heirs and afsigns forever a certain piece of land in Barnet aforesaid describes as follows (viz) Containing one hundred and sixteen acres more or less and describes as follows: viz, all that tract or parcel of land Called and known by the name of the Chick farm and being the westerly half of hundred acre lot No thirteen as deeded by Enos Stevens, Esquire to Nathaniel Chick by his deed will appear. Also the after division lot No fifty-two and being the same which was deeded to said Nathaniel Chick by Ben Porter refforanced being had also to the deed of Henry Stevens administrattor on the Estate of said Chick to John Morse dated sixteenth day of June AD 1824. To --------------- appertenances Thereof to the said Henry McKown, his heirs and assigns to his and there own use and be hoof forever and ----------- The said Elijah M. Davis for myself and my heirs executors & administrators do Covenant with the said Henry McKown that until the enceiling of these presented I am the sold owner of the premesis and have go right and title to convey the say and manor aforesaid that they are free from every inumberance and I hereby engage to warrant and defend the same against all lawful cames whatever. In Witness whereof I here unto set my hand and seal this 10th day June AD 1830.
