The former Goldie Mae Shifflett,she was born Oct 4,1904 in Albemarle County; She was the daughter of the late George and Maude Shifflett. In addition to her daughter,she is survived by her husband, Joseph A. Via, three sons, George Via of Woodbridge, Julian Via of Grottoes and Charle Via of Charlottesville,and eight grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Prize Hill Church in Boonesville, with burial in the church cemetery.
