He leaves a wife Sarah Walton Shiflett and seven childrens, George Burrus, Zermie and Howard Shiflett of Boonesville. Mrs. Moses Via and Miss. Josie Shiflett of Browns Cove. Mrs. Newman Shiflett of Crozet, and Tom Lewis Shiflett of Schuyler. He also leaves 40 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Burial will be at Prize Hill Cemetery.
